Forensic examinations can be done on any device that contains digital information such as cell phones, laptops, hard drives, servers, thumb drives, SD cards, flash memory, and cloud services.
As well as identifying direct evidence of a crime Digital Forensics can also be used to connect evidence to specific suspects, confirm alibis or statements, determine intent, identify sources on authentic documents.
